I am considering buying one in the near future just so I have something a little bit bigger than my integra for trips and what not.

prelude, i considered it a high end luxury for a honda at the time... heavy luxury car with that 2.2 vtak. it would be more or less what a s2000 is today i guess. but obviously the s2k> prelude

No fucks given.
I like the 3rd Gen Si's, not so much any other ones though. I think it's the combination of the boxy shape and the flip-up lights.

The only thing that throws me off the the random transmission failures and the bad gas mileage lol. Plus it's not a hatchback. :(

^never just happened on the previous page. Define rediculous for a honda? Its a fat ass.

Bigger how, bodywise? Cuz its not roomier thats for sure. 'Trip' wise i dont see how its any better. Worse gas mileage, less space in cargo and passenger.

well it did 90 at the top of 2nd and for a honda i thought that was pretty insane. i personally think my teg is surprisingly quick for a honda and an h22 would probably put a gsr to shame in a straight line

All this talk about Preludes makes me want one.
ill always think its one of the coolest looking hondas ever, the 5th gen i mean. i want one even now that i have the teggy, but the teggy handles better and i live in the sticks so windy roads are everywhere

I would say the mph was reading significantly off because the prelude doesnt rev that high for 2nd gear to be anywhere near 90mph. Thats extremely off actually. But no a prelude will not put a gsr to shame. Theyre quite even in terms of performance numbers in 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

the speedo could have been off, i have no idea what was done to the car the guy my brother bought it from said it had a JDM spec h22, and that he had raced and beaten an integra type r (IDK HOW TRUE ANY OF THIS IS) and ik that it had a stage 2 clutch and my brother had to replace the transmission, but i do remember being in it banging the rev limiter in 2nd gear and when i asked how fast he said 90. ik what speed feels like and i could have been off but i would say we werent going slower that 70-80 but man did it get up there quick. i wish i could ride in it today and see what its like compared to my teg
