So im wanting to get some vtec parts for my Integra LS with the b18b1 and i was wondering what vtec motor is compatible with mine so i dont have to go through the trouble of changing things all around just to put a part on

You can't make a b18b1 a vtec engine unless you do an ls/vtec swap which can get pricey. Other option is to simply buy a GSR engine, tranny and ECU and swap it out.

im not trying to completely change the engine to vtec im just trying to use simple vtec parts for my b18b1 like intake manifold, cams, throttle body, ect. so when i search for parts what motor should i use???

Got vtec?

These parts won't fit on a stock b18b. Do some research on ls/vtec setups or engine swaps. And these parts don't magically have vtec in them either.

i know they don't magically have vtec lol i just thought that they would be better than the parts on my current motor since they are made for a vtec motor and yes i obviously need to do some research before my dumbass waste all my money. kinda new to the import thing

The only thing you'll keep is your block. You need a vtec head (b16/b17/b18c) intake manifold, intake, ecu, ls/v conversion kit etc. google or even search on here LS/V and you'll find the complete list of parts. Look to spend 500-1000 to build it completely right

If you are trying to upgrade your motor with the train of thought that since VTEC engines are more powerful than non-VTEC engines, the parts from VTEC engines must be able to give me a little more horsepower, you wont have much success.

The throttle body should work, but I dont think the size for a GSR is any larger than an LS. The Type R throttle body is slightly larger though. The cams are completely different and the intake manifold has a different bolt pattern. The exhaust manifold sometimes are different lengths depending on your year, but I doubt the ID of the GSR exhaust manifold is any different than the LS.

There really arent any bolt on parts between the LS and GSR that will provide an HP increase.

alright cool ill stop asking dumb questions now lol
It's cool man, gotta learn it somehow. There's lots of ways to make power, and if you're looking for more power, look at some performance parts, something easy to start. Google can lead you around to different options. You could do the LS/Vtec mentioned before, or, you could upgrade what you've got and have a non-vtec with some extra bite :D It's all about what you want man, just read up on some of the articles here and see what suits you.
