did your car have a lot of dents for them to bondo the whole panel?

no. the previous owner got it painted cheaply. as in the bondo'd OVER paint and then painted on another layer.
these guys think that by spraying a sheet of bondo on and sanding it down to where it is all smooth i'll avoid any unwanted issues with hard to see dents.
