b20 upgrades

i just recently bought my first car a 1999 acura integra with a bblown head gasket. the car is completely stock so i figured instead of rebuilding it to fix the head gasket i would just put in a b20 to start the upgrades. i dont want to add the vtec head because i heard that it has its issues with oil pressure and reliability. i have a friend with a 97 eclipse gs4g63 and he put in a front mount intercooler and made his car so much faster. If i added a front mount intercooler, turbo, blow off valve, and full exhaust starting at the headers would a b20 keep up with his stalk gs4g63 with front mount intercooler? any help would be greatly appreciated because i have no prior knowledge of cars ive only worked with large trucks.:) plus any other suggested upgrades to go with these upgrades ive posted above.

It appears you haven't researched this a lot.... B20/v (just like ls/v) is only as reliable as the build, if you take the time and money to do it right, it will last forever.

Turbo will cost you a lot more but can net you way more power obviously. Again, taking the time and money to build it right (not just picking up an egay kit and slapping it on) and a good tune you will make good power without any mechanical issues.

PLEASE do a LOT of research on both of these to get a grasp of costs, benefits, possible outcomes etc. I guarantee practically any answer you have has already been answered on here before. Utilize the research function

The reliability stuff i heard was from a guy at a show i hang at i didnt think it sounded right thank u for clarifying that. Do you have any suggestions for a starting point as far as upgrades i know putting a turbo on a stock motor can be rough on a car.

Depends on where you wanna go and available finances really. Stock on a good tune these engines can handle up to 10psi on a smaller turbo reliably I've heard of, 6-8 is usually recommended though of you stay stock internally. If you really build it, the sky is the limit. But that all becomes very costly very quick.

A b20 is nice if you're looking for a bit more torque, and you'd mod it just like your current engine. Dunno what all you have done to your car but intake header and exhaust are generally the starting points (ignore intake and header of you're going turbo, they'll be replaced with intercooler piping and your turbo manifold/downpipe). Then cams, valvetrain, fuel upgrades, internals etc are the next steps

What?! Turbo is rough on stock motors? Wtf are car manufacturers doing installing them from the factory? Glad i never had the money to buy a twin turbo supra. Makes a lot of sense... hyundai genesis turbo model... hyundai is of course stupid.

Do people just read 'submit your ride' and submit a post about their car with questions? Submit your RIDES, not submit your questions.
