How do you pay for your parts?

Always been curious how other people buy their stuff. Seems like some will save every cent they have and then spend everything on a part and others need a buffer zone. Just curious who does what, I know I've seen a few people post that they bought a new part and now have $37 in the bank.

I need a good buffer zone before I buy a part, and being cheap usually is a factor.... :lol:

i try to always have 500 in my account otherwise i feel broke so i guess i don't buy a part til i have 500 over what it costs

I think the only problem I have with getting parts for my car is that I'd rather spend that money buying clothes or shoes. lol Car gets stuff once a year maybe and I usually try to get it all at once so I can keep on shopping. Seems easier.:laugh:

folks gotta remember this is a hobby. so bills and rent is priority. food not so much cause i can live off ramen and visit my parents. lol but. each month i set aside $500 NOT to spend. whatevers left is "play" money

i ask if they have military discounts. places that dont, sometimes to a gratuity discount of 10-20%.

i usually see whats in the budget for parts and find out there is no money for parts. So I buy them anyway and suffer later haha
