Does it bother you when you see people running non-name brand aftermarket stuff?

-Seats
-Race Harness
-Header
-Steering wheels

Theres people who have money issues who obviously can't afford all the name brand stuff so they have to buy lower quality stuff so they have to roll with Ebay merch. is it considerd "rice" to you?

Just curious as to what other peoples opinions are about this matter.

Nope. Doesn't bother me. It's bothersome when they pass it off as something it isn't. Like putting ITR parts on your car and then calling your car an ITR. Or in that recent Honda Tuning mag, the guy had Rota's on his DC but told the interviewer they were Spoons.

It depends. Some stuff I can look past, others are an absolute no no. I would never cheap out on anything safety related. Avoid cheapo seats, harnesses and similar items like the plague. Things like intakes, strut tower bars and such aren't so bad. There are better parts out there, but the difference on some of that stuff is negligible.

I guess it really depends on the extent of the items, for example
My car came with an aftermarket steering wheel which is off brand.
But it makes no differene in looks or the drivablity of it.
But if your running rep "sparco" seats then it looks dumb but ricer. I dont think so

It doesn't bother me, I mean i'd probably just wait until i could afford name brand headers and seats would probably rip or fade pretty easily

Rice to me is non functional or flashy items, If the steering wheel is mounted with a quick release hub and is smaller/ more comfortable then it has a purpose and is therefor not rice

Yeah in my opinion if your running anything non-brand then handle but if your flaunting your stuff and trying to be a hard ass about your car and whats in it then thats where I get annoyed you know?

Theres nothing worse than that.

I would never get anything EBAY thats big, like an exhaust (check my thread, bad experience) or something that could put my life in danger. But lights, strut bars, intakes, ect, are all fine. I dont see why anyone would hate on them if they look and perform almost exactly the same!
