Car shakes when I brake?? Need help!!

Hey peep, problem is, when I'm driving and I begin to brake my car shakes really bad. Feels like the front of my car is trying to hop off the floor. It does this very violently when I barely brake, but as I press the brake harder the shaking calms down. It's really bad on the high way. Recently I changed my rotors to drill slotted, and I lowered the car on some tein springs.. But I need help on the shaking.. Any ideas??

I was going to suggest that your rotors could be warped, but if they're brand new I don't know what to tell you. Did you get them used??

I got that same problem. Lowered on Tein S-Techs with vibes going on. New rotors should fix it, like they were saying, warped rotors.

Yea I bought the rotors used, but they didn't make my car shake when I first put them on. Any opinions on how they can get warped??

Your axle hub nuts may not be tightened down to spec. That can cause them to loosen and warp from the uneven brake pressure on them.

do you feel it in your pedal to?

and at my dealership we change hundreds of rotors in the summer . because when it's really hot out and you make hard stops or hold the brakes on can heat them up even more making them warp .

Your cv axles cause your car to shake when you hit the brakes. Do you hear clicking when you turn

No I don't feel it in the pedal, but I do get a clicking sound when I make a left turn. If it is my axel how can I tell? I remember when I lowered my car my axel did pop out I had to force it in. Can that cause it? May I have to replace my axel?

Your axles are about 50 a piece and its highly recommended to replace both at the same time. You'll know they are bad be cause they will only click at low speed like 0-10 MPH. Does your steering wheel shake while going about 60-90 MPH?

The only clicking I here is when I turn left, and na my steering wheel don't shake when I'm driving fast but as soon as I touch the brake (even slightly) the car starts jumping nasty. I'm hoping it's just the rotors are warped, but I also wanna fix whatever problem I have that could have made them warp

Remove the front wheels and check to see if the axle nut is on there tight. (Seen this happen before.) Also check the bolts and the calipers, make sure they are all tight. If so, its the rotors, replace them with new units.
