I looked at your post on HT and reviewed your torque chart and its probably not as bad as i made it sound when i first looked at it, they just have it set up on a short line and in small increments so it looks very odd when youre used to seeing most of the other graphs. It never really dropped below 134tq til near the end and the way the chart is makes the dips look way more dramatic, however its still my understanding that tuning ends up with smoother torque curves. I even saw the other dyno chart in the thread where a guy has the vtec set to almost 7k too but he revs to 9k. So with that said i dont think youre making 200whp, at least not right now you arent. The potential of your setup is definately hindered by your intake side but i cant say how much honestly. At 200whp theres no way i could pull on you like that besides the fact that youre done soon as you shift cuz youre out of vtec. lol Judging by the graph though i definately think its still making power way past 8. This is just my opinion from stuff ive read and experienced like i told you. Have a talk with someone from the tuning shop and then figure out your next step.

The only shot i have uploaded at the moment. Glad i decided to go. Chill people, no one i didnt want to run into by chance. The route itself was a fun little cruise but thats all its good for. Meet/cruise thats kinda local. Hardly canyon like if you want windy roads and typical of normal traffic because of the vicinity to civilization. Most of the people who said they were gonna go or interested in going on the 2 boards i saw this on, TI and here, did not even show up. I thought we would be surrounded by civics and some others but 3 total integras showed up and we were the majority lol.

Nice meeting you as well, I had a great time. Very anxious to get a look at those photos, never been in a rolling shot before, let alone one with 2 other clean DCs in the same shot hahah. I need to give my passenger a camera next time for sure! As for my build.. yeaaa lol. I’m really leaning (& hoping) towards practically choking it with my intake restrictions. 200whp is a quite a bit inflated, but church/ dynapacks are known to read quite a bit higher than other dynos. I was surprised at how well you kept up.. or pulled on me actually! I did miss shift a bit but regardless, yours moveddd. I will be focusing on intake in the upcoming months: IM, TB, tube, filter, vstack.. & maybe injectors, then re-tuning after that. Looking forward to getting a proper vtec engagement & getting rid of the GSR IM butterflies. I do remember the tuner telling me I wasn’t making anything past 8 and that vtec was doing best engaging around 7k.. i just didn’t ask too many questions & really should have. Was my first time tuning but meh, live & learn. Happy to have something to physically compare it too now tho :) Love how your exhaust sounds by the way. Very throaty & mean in WOT. Meant to ask you what your using to get such a beautiful tone.. thought i spied a ITR muffler but not sure.

Will definitely be attending next year & any in between as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better/ more relaxed cruise. I didn’t realize until we were leaving.. that it was actually Blackstar! The whole time i kept making reference to a hill like the one we rode on where you couldn’t see over the top until you were headed down, being at Blackstar. Thought it was strange so checked the map and sure enough it was the same spot. Used to go there 4-5 years ago with some friends but always at night. A lot different during the day go figure, hahah.

You should go with a performer x or skunk2 manifold. I still have my doubts about the claim its not making power past 8. I mean sure maybe the amount of incoming air is cutting it off but power bands dont suddenly drop off, they peak off with a flat curve and then curve down. Yours is rising before it gets cut off. Look back through the thread on HT u'll see someone with vtec at 6850 and he pulls to 9k. If we assume he tuned it right, then he should have said to you that with your setup you need more mods or to go with a different cam. I cant see any scenario where being in vtec for 1k rpms is beneficial. Might as well be a built ls. Talk to them, see what they say and if you end up needing to pay again for a tune, do it at raceline after you get new parts. Reaching for max potential is dependant on how well you breathe. Maintaining flow velocity on both sides. Exhausting faster doesnt matter much if nothing is coming in faster or in greater volume.

If the reading on their dyno machine is known to be off then thats pretty damn inaccurate because you should be making 20hp more than me and up to 20tq. Its impossible for me to pull away from you like that. If its true that their dyno is inacccurate by that much then you should go to Raceline in temple city and have just a dyno session done there for numbers. Obviously you want to try and have church do your tune properly since thats what you paid for but if that fails then you can have Elton at Raceline tune it. He doesnt do 1 hour tunes. It costs more but its up to all day. You can also talk to Matt ( jdmxdb8 ) about anything you need at Raceline. He works there.

What you heard wasnt my exhaust, its jdm type r so theres virtually no exhaust note to it. Its the intake manifold and aem intake that youre hearing. I do like that sound over exhausts though.

What ecu/tuning hardware are you using? I dont know what else is needed to rev higher but as far as i know you have the proper valve train for your cams, right? And tuning should have allowed him to set your redline higher and fuel cutoff. You can probably rev to 9k without upgrading rod/bolts but id do more research on that. Ive only grazed the surface on that topic since its not something ive gotten into.

Oh did you catch which forum Kimo said he was out from?
I was hoping he would go when we did cuz thats a test for me too. lol
