i was givin these no name ebay lowering springs so i wanna put them on but im not sure how to mount them. does the sleeve go at the top or the bottom of the strut?
This. Trust me...you do NOT want ebay anything for suspension. My last car (96 civic lx) had ebay coilovers and everytime I would hit a dip in the road I would about be thrown out of my seat. Couldn't take even a slightly bumpy road without feeling like I was being prison raped. Do yourself a favor and spend $200 on a set of Tein S-Tech lowering springs. I'm purchasing those here in the next couple weeksTop. You should sell em and buy better ones
Seriously, save up and get something legit. This has been my first car. I bought my Tein s techs as a sophomore, had full coilovers as a junior and a complete track setup as a senior. Save up, sell stuff you don't need, barter, find deals and don't waste your time trying to make cheap parts work. I have ended up replacing all my cheap parts with either name brand or oem, and I wish I had listened when I was told to just do it right the first time.you see id love to but this is my first car and im a senior in highschool with no money and the previous owner droped the car so low it scraps on every little speed bump and hole so id rather be thrown around in a roughish ride than buy a new exhaust system or spend 50-70 bucks on stock springs so i only plan to use these ebay no names as a temp fix haha so i just need to find out how to put them on
Take a look at some of the springs we have, everyone on this thread, aside from the ricer fanboy, is telling you something very valuable. I understand not having a lot of money to spend, but it is summer holiday and you could mow lawns for a week and have enough money for something that isn't going to sag and be complete shit.ok lol thanks anyway
does the metal sleeve go towards the bottom of the strut? and why do i have som many o rings!?!?!? thanksmy ebay springs work pretty well i got them for $50 bucks. the bad things about spring from ebay is that when you drop the car they don't all drop all even. coilover does make the car more bumpy if not good springs.
