Boggy Start up?

Sup guys,

Lately I've been expirencing some nasty start ups from my B18B engine

just have a cold air, 4-2-1 header and exhaust.

it starts up really choppy, vibrating alot and making nasty noises, reminds me of old school muscle cars honestly. but after a few seconds it idles out and is fine. any ideas why its doing this?

and I've also been idleing pretty low like around 1k when I'm usually at about 1.5k

any info helps guys

mine sounded like a WRX when i started it in the mornings. i changed out the spark plugs and it hasnt done it since. hopefully its the same for you.

as for your idle, its supposed to be around 700-800 when warm.

I just changed the spark plugs about a month ago dude, Maybe the spark plug wires? or the distributor?

Ima order some new wires this week and see if that helps if not then ima try a whole new distributor.

Try and pull the ECU fuse and wait a min and put it back in then start car and let run for 5 mins without touching anything.then shut off and start up and drive.reset ECU. Or could be TPS.

Mine does that on occasions as well, but I don't think it's too serious.

I'ma just do a full tune up this weekend and see what happens
New Distributor cap with roter
New wires
Sea foam treatment
new fuel filter

ima see what that does if it still continues to act weird then I'll sell my car...no jk

Idk, but i sorta have the same thing gas smell and all but the rpms mellow out after a little while but will dip a little when i stop sometimes, CEL will come on sometimes saying its the EGR :???: idk if this helps, still havent been able to fix my probelm yet either :cry:
