Like the subject says what is ITR ?
Also I have been told by someone that you can get low mileage engines from Japan because they have to swap engines when they get to 30,000 miles. This guy is kind of full of it so I dont really believe it but maybe someone can tell me if its true.

Itr stands for integra type r....

And what does that have to do with it? But yes, you can get engines from over there, often with low miles

I found a b16 for sale its in parts, all new but not complete asking 1400 for it some one on here told me that to build it I would have to spend more money on parts and labor and it would end up being about the same as finding a complete engine and doing a swap. He said it would probably end up being about the same cost as an ITR swap. I just didnt know what ITR was.

i hate b16/b17's.... would rather have a cammed b18b than to put up with a sub 1600cc engine. i wouldn't spend 1400 for one. if you can get an itr or gsr swap, that'd be your best bet. in fact any b-series over a b16. if you.

mileage means nothing, do a compression and leakdown test. why would it blow up if you're doing work to it?. for the price you're about to blow on a "VTEC" swap. just throw some new bearings at your motor with some head studs and rod bolts.... do a vtec head if you want as well. you'll have a brand new motor essentially without having to trust some importer with their "30K mile jdm engine". hell you can even pick up another b18 for pennies and build that up on the side.
