I just bought some alpine type r's to replace my previous speakers and when i hooked them up there is a squeaking noise when there is more bass. Nothing is loose is there anything I am missing?

Everything worked great after I connected the amp. It's a polk pa660, I have used it for awhile and it does wonders

Obviously the problem was solved but I thought I'd correct something that was brought up.
Flipping the polarity wont cause that. If the wires are reversed, the cone will pull in when it normally would push out. Not a problem as long as all speakers are reversed so they're in sync. If some of them are wired opposite of the others, then some are pulling in exactly as the others are pushing out, and this will cancel frequencies mostly bass. A lot of people never notice. Tone def.
The Type Rs only sound good when amped. Very hefty power requirements. Underpowering a speaker and cranking it up, particularly with the bass setting maxxed out is a sure fire way to blow them. I often had to warranty replace Type Rs when I was an installer. You can never convince anyone of this. They think you're just trying to upsell amps.
