Just got the following e-mail a few minutes ago:

Hello

I am interested in buying the Double Fin with LED that you have placed for sale, and I would want to know about the present condition, as well as some detail about you. I expect this timely enough.

As for the payment, I would need you to get back in touch with the last asking price then I get a Cheque or money order sent.

I will be looking forward to hear from you soon.

Yours interestingly,

After searching around the interwebs a bit seems like it's pretty unanimous that this is a scam. Just thought I'd put out a heads up here as well.

Damn..I just a quick google search...That scumbag is nearly on every car forum: f150, nasioc, clubwrx...etc. The word "cheque" is definitely a scam.

Scam. Everytime i posted something on craigslist i got a lot of replies that sounded about the same. They were all interested in the item, pretend to ask more about it, buying it for someone, were out of town, pretend to suggest paypal for both our security, and even offered higher then what im looking for to 'secure' the purchase.

Same here drives me nuts! I no longer except emails for my CL sales lol. There never real people anymore and sometimes flag my stuff so one else makes offers.....bastards

Yeah i resorted to having people put specific titles in the subject line or i dont even read the emails. Doesnt stop them from emailing but it definately helps me save time from being wasted reading worthless email.
