ya its seeding prop. the thing is my b18b didnt have a idle issue and i put all the sensors and shit from the b18 onto the b16 the only thing thats diff is the intake and i put new gaskets and bolted it on rite with the motor out of the car idkFitv prob...is the TB seating properly?
when i put it on befor i droped the motor in i screwed it all the way down is that bad? should i screw it all the in or leave it un screwed a lil bit?Adjust the FITV.
ya i screwed it all the way in tight. i didnt clean it with choke cleaner though. but on the b18b it idled fine! im puzzled. i actully drove it for 1hr to my moms and then when i started it up to leave 30min later the idle was norm. drove till i got to a stop light and it was back at 1800 rpm it just stays at 1800 no surging just high. idle adj screw on throtle body is all the way in tight shouldn't the car die when u screw it all the way in.screwed in all the way. You did it right. Make sure that the little idle adjustment screw is set right on the throttlebody
no how do u do that? what do you mean?Have you tried doing a proper idle reset procedure?
ya thanx man already checked all that stuff its not vacume for sure. im starting to think its the size of my throtle body. im running a stock b18a its 58mm and im pretty sure the b16a IM i have needs a 60mm or 62 mm. any one know if im rite or wrong here??? does it matter if you run a smaller mm TB ? will make ur car idle high?make sure no vacuum leaks...lol and check ur pcv system, i had a similar problem to urs, later found out my pcv hose was loose and dangling hahaha fail
...Just a thought... Good luck
yes u can retard the timing to drop ur idle but thats not what its for. i like my car to rune smooth and proper. i think i need to get a throtle body ill post a new thread on suggestionHave you tried moving you dizzy. I know with mine if I retard it RPMs drop low. maybe is advanced to far.
