restoring black molding around windows

What is the best way to refresh all the black around the windows and trim .Its just getting kinda faded and with car freshly painted it stands out more .

Mine is the same way it's looks chrome now at the top of the door / bottom of the window. It's just peeled off.

Plasti-dip is cosmetic only it doesnt make trim lmao.

You have to buy window molding.

Don't mean to thread jack, but it's on topic.

Anyways, there's a bit of surface rust on the window trim, I know I need to sand it off, but what grit would you guys recommend for that? And should I use Rustoleum or Plastidip afterwards?
