New Integra Owner needs advice

Hey guys, as the subject line says I'm an new integra owner and I need a lil advice pertaining to where I should start with my new car. Right now appearance is last on my list. I'm more concerned with the fact that my car is 1990 and I want it in perfect running condition. It will be my daily driver but it will also be my baby since I have always wanted this car. So that being said beside the cosmetic stuff and the obv fluid changes and flushes, where should I start? And just so ya know I'm not trying to make this into a 10 car. I do want it to be powerful and fast, just nothing like fast and furious. I want it to have a nice sound (not a my first exhaust kit either) and some balls is all I want. I'm also keeping it NA for now. Maybe go turbo way down the line. it has 130,000 miles on it which I understand isn't so bad. Just have no idea what the hell I'm doing or where to start for that reason. Any advice would be a great help. Thanks!

If you want your engine to run strong, start by doing the basic maintenance and replace all the old worn out parts before getting bolt-ons for more power.

If you're planning to run NA for now, you can start with your intake, header and exhaust (cat-back). You're lucky that your car has OBDI, so you can tune your ECU using hondata/etc. to make it more aggressive.

Thanks for the advice. Now I know where to start.

You will not get powerful and fast from an N/A B18a1. You'll need boost or a motor swap for that.
Read some build threads and you'll get some ideas. Look into a trans with shorter gear ratios than your LS, that will get you more acceleration even if you stay with the A1. A B18C Type R with a JDM J1, YS1, or a 92-93 YS1 trans would be an optimal combination for you.
As far as exhaust you can't go wrong with a Tanabe Medallion Touring or the RS*R Ex Mag.

If reliability is more important right now than just adding bolt ons I'd start by doing my timing belt, water pump, tensioner, all belt and hoses, new clutch and flywheel, brakes, full tune up, etc...your car will love u for it later
