couple questions

Car is AUTO, seems to be a problem shifting into 4th it just keeps going back to 3rd gear at 60 mph, is the tranny blown

also the RPM seems to be not working.. it just stays at 0 or goes all over the place, my mechanic replaced the cluster but it still has the same problem any thoughts?

BTW the car has 100, k miles

Lol you're a dick.

As for the tranny, I don't know much but I'm guessing if it won't shift/stay in 4th there's a problem. Better off getting a new one... or doing a manual swap.

your shifting problem could be a shift solenoid gone bad or tranny needs to be replaced.
as for your RPM not to sure but. sounds like the rpm sensor went bad or was unplugged.

The shifting issue is likely a bad shift solenoid or the computer is bad.
The cluster issue could be a short in the wire from the distributor, possibly even an issue in the distributor itself.

Dont just give up on your trans and go for a swap. Look into it and find out what is going on for sure before you swap it could be a simple fix.
