So I tried looking at the stamp on the engine but there's a gold tube blocking that area. I'll post pictures as soon as I'm home from work....

Welcome again! Looks good! I still like the color I do have 4 suggestions though,

1. The tail lights are your call, they aren't quite as bad as altezza's. Maybe try tinting them? (pics of mine that were similar below)
2. It's definitely not a type R, just by looking at the first picture you posted..i'd suggest taking the badges off so you don't get flamed for it.
3. Maybe rig up some way for the flip-up screen to start lower so it doesn't cover up your climate control stuff. maybe swap the tray and HU places
4. MOAR LOW. slam that b**ch Fact: tegs look sexier low.

All those things aside, great start!! Good luck with the build!

When you open your hood, look down at the front of the engine block below the valve cover. You'll see your exhaust manifold (header). Look to the immediate left of it and there should be a small like 2 inch by 2 inch square right where the transmission connects to the engine. This should be the stamp.

Close, actually it is below there if you are referring to where the manifold/header mounts. In that pic, it is at the very bottom of the screen. Where you just described is on the head, unless I misunderstood.

Wierd, I am trying to picture what the heck could be blocking it. I'm drawing a blank. Try to describe what is blocking it. I can't see it on your engine pic, but I'm on my phone, so the pic is hard to see.

Well if the Vin starts with jh4dc2 (or close to that) wouldn't that be the beginning for a gsr?

Ok so I'm about to post the picture. Not the gold piece im talking about is not in the first picture in the thread. That picture was taken by the original owner, it must have been taken before theyi installed this part

Problem...I can not see the engine pic very well on my phone (the first one you posted), but I do not see a vtec solenoid. This would mean the shop swapped in a non vtec motor. Not the end of the world, but a bit of a negative.
