not starting SOLID CEL help

Hi my car is giving me a solid cell and is not reading any codes anymore. is just straigh solid with no blinks or nothing. and my car tries to star but it just cranks over and doesnt fire up. My ecu is bad right? if so what ecus could i use for my 93 integra ls.:evil: checked for fuses,grounds, mainr relay, everything possible and could not find the prob, so im pretty sure it my ecu since its giving me the code for it.ok thanks

your car will always show a solid check engine light if the engine isn't running....

no it has gas and engine light is solid and used to show codes.

it's not showing codes because there are no codes it's throwing.

If there are no codes, it's probably nothing to do with the engine itself.

Do you have spark? do you have fuel delivery? Have you done anything but look at the check engine light?

Completely ignore the check engine light being on. if you're key is at Ignition on, and the engine isn't running, THE CHECK ENGINE WILL BE ON. that doesn't mean you have a code being set, it just means that the ECU is seeing that your engine is not on.

AGAIN. WITH THE KEY TURNED TO IGNITION ON AND THE ENGINE OFF, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL BE ON

It's not just your car, it's every car ever made that does that

IM GETTING SPARK for sure but im not sure about fuel. im thinking it can be my injectors or ecu

I was under the impression that a solid CEL meant a bad ECU. try hooking up another ECU and see if it still does it.

yeah im getting a solid cell when i jump my ecu when the ign is on, And yes theres something wrong becuase my car wont start. and im trying to get another ecu but havent found one yet. what ecu is the right one for my da?

93loweredf1, what ended up happening? I have the same exact issue that you do. Solid CEL when jumped, turns over, not fire, has spark, has fuel, ECU thermo ground is good. Fuel is getting in, spark is happening, but no bangy. I have checked the ignitor, coil, pulled the fuel rail and while two buddies held it up with the injectors in it, we all saw fuel spraying out, and plus my IACV is making a weird humming. Please help. Thanks.

In the case of my 91, when the ECU is jumped the CEL will NOT stay on, however - I hear it's supposed to stay solid when the ECU has no codes.

So I'd say stay away from the CEL, & ECU.

if your main relay is working and your fuel pump is working the cel will disapear.
