TegSox Super Duper Moderator Mar 21, 2012 #4 Yeah, it depends on why the CEL is on. If it's on because of a problem in the VTEC system, then the VTEC may not work. If it's on for some other reason, it may still work. Pretty simple. Get the ECU code, that'll tell you what's wrong.
