low oil huh..i'll check in the morning when i have time. It only does it when i take off in first gear it seems as if the rpms dip and when it dips the light flashes on once then i drive off and no more light at all till i get back in a position were im at a dead stop and its time to put it back in 1st gear. If i rev it and hold it past 1k rpm it will not blink the oil light, its only when i take off and the rpms dip lower than 200.Could be your oil pump going, but also could be low oil problem. Mine did that in first and second gear and after I parked, I noticed I was about 2 quarts low!

If you got bad valve seals or rings, could be going through some quarts here and there depending on how much you drive. My car has 205k on it and I go through about a quart every 2 weeks. Sucks, but now my car is like hesiating, so I believe the oil pump is starting to go as well. No oil pressure light yet though thank god!also i was low on oil about a week ago, checked my oil and i was like bone dry so i put in two quarts then this started happening. do you think i still need to add more. havent checked it since. but i used two quarts of pennzoil 5w30.

20-50 is actually the best oil you can use if you plan on running your car hard.typically its just the pressure switch failing on the back of the block, i had two cars that did exactly the same thing, 5w30, 5w40, 10w30 or 10w40 will all be fine for your engine, just stay away from the 50 weights.
Sometimes it will take a bit to go as soon as you step on the gas and also if you slowly stepping on the gas increasing speed, you can feel a slight decrease in power here and there, so not sure what it is.what do you mean hesitating?? should i worry about the problem that i have, what could be causing it?
im not going to "read this" because thats not the case, your bearing tolerances were designed for use with 5w30 motor oil, not 20w50. Its a proven fact that if you use a oil that is beyond what the motor is built for you will scar your bearings.20-50 is actually the best oil you can use if you plan on running your car hard.

maybe 100k, im not to sure. i got the engine from my buddy that had bought it at about 60k to 70k drove it for about 4 months then had it sitten their till i picked it up about a year and a half ago. so im thinkin it has about 100k on it.Whats the mileage on the block?
