Hey, I'm new to this site, new to dealing with integras and cars in general. I'm not sure where else to post this so I figured here would be good since I am new to it all. I currently have a 95 Integra 2 door special edition, automatic. I got it kinda as a project so I can learn about cars, my bf knows about cars and is teaching me. I have come to love the body style and the way it drives (I've been driving a Grand Cheerokee, and Hond CRV for past three years). So I have a question to ask y'all for your opinions and suggestions, but I think you need to know a little about the situation, so I am sorry if this gets a little wordy.
The thing is, my car seems to has become more of a project than we thought, and are trying to figure out whats the best move. It has a little over 220,000 miles on it. Transmission will need to be replaced fairly soon (don't need to replace immediately). The seats need to be fixed as the leather is cracked and worn. The trunk floor board that seperates the spare tire from trunk is broken so it leaks a bit. The driver inside door pannel needs to be replaced. The biggest problem I have right now is it rained recently and I have a leak somewhere that has produced puddles in the floor of my car. The whole carpet of my floor is wet and don't think its coming from a window since its just the floor thats wet and not the sides of the car or seats.
So that's whats going on with my car, and my options are to try and buy another integra, I really like the 3rd gens....but there are some 2nd gens that are in great shape. Do they run nice like the 3rd gens? Also I have a daughter, so I have to make sure that the back will accomidate her car seat. But if I don't buy a new integra I just have to try and figure out where the leak is coming from and find a new engine and trans soon. I do like the idea of getting another 3rd gen and swapping parts out and stuff.
Anyway what do you guys think? My bf may know a lot about cars, but he's not too familiar with the integras....so I figured why not ask a whole forum of people who love them. Thanks in advance guys for any suggestion or opinions you may have on this. And I apologize for any incorrect use of terms or anything like that. Like I said, I'm learning about all this.
