My RS, body mods mainly. Opinions please?

So, I've been thinking of what I'd like to do just to the body of my car?

I own a 95 RS, Milano Red. I've been looking at suspension, wheels, etc. One thing I have come across, several times browsing and searching the forums, is this.

A lot of people go out of their way to spend a ton of money on a complete Type-R conversion. Interior, RHD, no sunroof, etc.

I've been looking into the 98-01 Front/Rear conversion, and the more I try to find the parts, the more I question myself whether I should go with the 98-01 or the JDM front end.

Now, mind you, I plan on putting an ITR front lip, OEM Optionals all around, and a Type-R wing, regardless of my decision. After this, I'd be getting it painted to color match, the Milano Red, then work on Alarm, suspension, performance, etc.

My question is, do people on this forum really 'look down on' or 'frown-upon' this?

I don't see why it matters dude. I mean it's your car. If you want a JDM front, get the JDM front. Everyone has their own tastes. Now if you want to know about a quality of something or how a particular product is, then by all means ask. But to ask strangers how to build your own car seems stupid to me. If you asked people how to build your own car, then your gonna have 50 people telling you how to build it. Some people wil tell you to turbo it, others want a K swap. Get my point? Personally, I like the JDM front, but I also like my USDM front and for now, it's staying USDM.

Any of that is a good option. Do what you like. As long as you don't ruin it with some sort of stupid body kit, I won't complain :)

If you want a bodykit, put a body kit on it. Everyone has their own taste. Or do what Honda did on the Type R and rice it out with a front lip, side skirts, a huge ass wing and fake CF interior parts. :lol:

I'm just not sure if after I complete all of this, and have the OEM optionals, itr wing, itr front lip, with jdm front, if people are going to think i'm trying to pass it off as a type-r.. Lol.
Obviously I'm not doing the rhd thing, or the same motor or anything, lol.

Along with this, I'm leaning more towards the JDM front end, mainly because it's a little cheaper and a ton easier to find.
Should I be on the look out for replicas? and if I wanted to do OEM Optionals, will they work all around like the USDM 98-01 would? WHat about the rear end(lol, i know...), should I do a 98-01 or do they make JDM rears?... I'm at a little bit of a loss when it comes to this. >.>

they make jdm rear seats ;) but no really the rear end is same as usdm only part that be a pain to find for jdm front is the lip and eye lids (if you want it)

You can buy replica USDM front bumpers for pretty cheap. But I'd buy OEM headlights if possible. Just keep looking around craigslist, people are constantly parting out their cars.

The cheapest I've found the front bumper was for 319(which isn't bad imho), corner lights(amber) for 30$ a pop, but the part that really, really gets me. The headlights. Anywhere from 400-519 each. and they're hard to find. I'd love to find a car being parted on craigslist, but it doesn't happen very often, well; for a 98-01 integra that hasn't been wrecked in the front..

dude buy used headlights! i have a set in my room now im using for retro... but the ones on my car will be fs once im done with my project! there you found headlights! haha

Awesome. Just got quoted on a JDM front end installed... 1500.... I thought they were so much more?.. That's installed. Like. Parts, Labor, everything..

Wow, thats ridiculous, thanks man. Two questions regarding:
1. ABS Plastic sucks, right? I'd be better off getting a polyurethane one, right?(Front lip)
2. If I were to go with the JDM front end, what would I need to search for, to find an ITR front lip for it?

why dont you get an alarm first then the front end. People are going to want to steal your car more with the front end
