You do the math

I have heard so many different suggestions when it comes to amplifiers and the power they pull from the alternator that I have decided to try and crunch some numbers so we can find out if a stock alternator on a 92 Integra can run an amp without the need of upgrading.

Before I start I just want to give you guys two examples of completely different thoughts about running an amp on a stock alternator.
1: my mechanic said the alternator cant run my amp (1000wpeak) and I shouldnt even try, this is what I believed for a while as my old alternator blew up.
2: my local car audio guy said I could run up to 2000w, rms with ease from a stock alternator.
Completely different suggestions, yet both have valid points.

Alternator output: 65amp
Headlights: 65w
Turn signals: 21w x 2
Licence plate: 5w
stop/tail lights: 21w
Spoiler light: 18w
Amp: 500 watt

= 672 Watts constand
converted into amps = 56 Amps

This seems a little high to me.

Anybody else feel like helping me crunch numbers?
