yet another O2 sensor issue

Is there any way of testing the wireing that goes to the O2 sensor? I put a brand new Denso in it. And it still has the infamous check engine light. Mechanic that put the head in said it was the O2 ocording the computer. I gave up bringing it to him after the 3rd time not figureing it out with the new sensor installed. So put car in garage for awhile. Now trying to fix again now I can't get it to flash a code just stays solid. Recently put in new distributor, and tps. Any thoughts suggestions will be apreciated.
My apologies if hard to follow ADD and its 6am been up since 10 am.

yea the cat is the hidden message in a o2 sensor cel code lol. its a possibility untill you rule it out. and after that if not the cat then you would want to get the pre-test on the smog, maybe the motor is giving off too many fumes of something and you can narrow it down based on the levels on the pretest. but thats worst case scenario
