try 94+ not just 98-01. i have a 94 ls and it is perfect inside and out. 70k miles and the catch is its an auto. but the deal was too good $4k. ive seen 94 100k miles tegs going around 5,500. thats where to look. dont narrow your search to much. and btw autos are quick always a perfect shift. if you buy a mod chip (mine was 10 bucks) it stops that automatic throttle delay and changes shift points. ive run right with comprable tegs with manuals and im right their. ok im done ranting

yeah i would get a 94-01, but my dad wants to start from a 98 for some reason....so im like i guess.....but i guess my dad is going to get it for me....but thanks for the advice

well if hes getting it get a type r, tell him its more reliable than a ls and make up some shit, if not then get a gsr

I got my '95 GS-R for $4250 late January 2005. 140k miles on it when i bought it, but it still runs like a dream, and the compression is almost as good as it was when it was new. You can find some good GS-R's for 5k or under.
