So you had a problem..fixed it...than it happen again? Than you check and the rotor screw just came out?

So a lose rotor screw cuased the belt to snap again?

i had the same thing happen to me about 6 different times. never broke my belt but everytime i knew exactly what it was each time it did it. no matter how tight i got it. ended up replacing the rotor button 3 times then just decided to run loc tite in it to stop it from coming out.

If the timing belt snapped, I don't think it was caused by a screw in the distributor.. if that's what you're saying.
I'm not even sure how that would be possible?

Anyways.. it's always good to get a little maintenance in. Head work and a gasket will just make it last that much longer. :)

hes talking about the screw that in the distributor that holds the rotor button on. if it pops out it throws the car out of time so bad its ridiculous.the rotor button will keep turning with the dizzy but will be going a whole lot slower than the dizzy shaft is. its possible he would break the belt
