Won't shift into 2nd gear

I recently boght my 1st teg. I have a 90. she starts up okay. But if shes not warmed up she wont shift into gear. And when she is warmed up it wont shift into 2nd unless I take my foot off the accelerator before it gets into 2nd. Its a automatic. Any ideas? Thanks

what rpms are you hitting? Because mines sorta does the same thing i just keep going until it kicks back. Sometimes it will wait until around 5k rpms or more to change

check your fluid level

^ Like he said check your fluid levels. If thats not it consult your local transmission shop and hope its not to expensive to fix.

I don't know how it is for an automatic but if it was hydraulic standard type transmission I would check fluids and check if your clutch master and slave cylinder are leaking.

Agree on the fluids being low if not possible 1-2 shift solenoid is bad
