Winter belt Noise

At the light when it reaches 1000 rpm i start to get the obnoxious squell but it goes away when i rev up..I changed all the belts before the winter started..Either too tight..or too loose or a pulley is shot..It only comes on at night when all the electrical stuff is going on..Maybe the alternator belt or pulley..Anybody else hear bout this or going through it??

your guess is as good as mine but i would guess a pulley or the bearing inside the pulley would cause it to make noise too

my eclipse used to do that so i tightened the belt and then it broke. put a new one and it went away so i'm not sure.

well now...
it sounds like a bad pulley, maybe try some belt dressing from an auto parts store? that may cure the squeal

Put a new what on?? How are you not sure??it either made the noise or not..Anyway tho..Yea I was leaning toward the pulley being bad under the load and waht not..so I guess it's the alt. pulley..Thanks guys

i had the tensioner pully lock up on me and it did not squeel. and also it could just be that when the alternator is being used more because of all of the lights and it squeels that is probably a loose belt man. any more questions just give me a private messages.
