Will a Momo steering wheel make me fail a state inspection?

Steering Wheel Question

Can you pass dmv inspection with a racing steering wheel that doesnt have the airbag? I'm getting a good deal on a momo fighter wheel but i'll have to remove my airbag. Thanks guys.

yo who cares what wheel you have on it should not matter if you change the wheel ... they should not say anything .. its your car dam it .. i can i ask you a question why is the dmv inspecting your car ? over here in nyc you can go to any garage for inspection ...only if you have a rebuilt or salvage car over here you have to go for a dmv inspection .. i guess NJ must be diffrent .... :twisted:

thats kind of dum if its true .. cuz i know so many people with after market wheels ... who cares if you have a air bag or not ... some new cars even come withthe option to switch off the air bag ... you know what i meen .. i thnk you can change the wheel with out any problem ... hay if your not shore check the local laws and the dmv .. but i see no reason why you cant change it .. what the f*ck its your choice if you want a air bag or not .. its for your safty...

I think you should be fine, because not all cars have them.

If they give you any problems, Im a doctor. I'll give them a note saying you have airbagaphobia and had to take it out cause it scared you.

i know most inspectors will fail you if your srs light is on, regardless if you have airbags or not. My boy got his teg jacked and these fools took out the airbags. When he got it back he was left with his srs light on. State couldn't pass him.
Well that was my 2 pennies anyways.

lol just open the speedometer cluster and take out the srs light bulb ..it will never come on again ..lol its a total of 7 minutes work .. lol he will never fail inspection again because of a srs light ...lol... if your chgeck engine light come on before you sell your care .. just remove it ... hay even roll back the miles .. i here its very easy but i dont know ..lol yeah right lol :twisted:

that new steering wheel is not OEM factory. your once a year inspection will not be passed. just change it when inspection time comes around.

Why do you want a steering wheel without an airbag? That airbag saves lives. i wouldn't switch out my steering wheel. that makes the car a lot less safe. IMO
