lately ive been seeing ppl rock white hoods mostly on black cars but ive also seen it on red cars, is this a style or what? cuz ive been seeing a lot of em lately.

My guess is you're near the "ghetto."
The only thing I see around here is people with black hoods on a color and that's usually....
1.) Because they're too cheap to paint it to match the car.
2.) Because they want people to think they have carbon fiber.
