if your really on a budget i guess either will work but personally i wouldn't go with any cast iron manifold. For a few reasons....
1. turbo placement leaves the compressor housing on the passenger side..which makes routing a dp and oil return line tricky.

2. They can be fragile and what i mean by that is they can crack easy and get VERY hot. I've just heard of stupid things happening to people such as the ends of their oil dipsticks melting because of the heat and then getting on the manifold and cracking it.

3. They are not very efficient and don't make power...some have boost creep issues depending on wastegate placement.

It's really up to you but instead of spending 200ish on a cast iron manifold why not spend 500 on a TUBULAR log style manifold that includes a downpipe and dumptube to match??

there are a couple manufacturers that make tubular logs that are a/c/ps compatible btw

haha yeah well im already boosted at the moment. my tubular manifold had a small crack cause i wrapped it. but i wanted to go with cast iron so i can put my ac back.. =X but yeah i did have the revhard manifold but then i exchanged it and went with mautek cause it was more higher quailty. i just wanted to know what did everyone else thinks..

I found the Meutek one, wastegate isnt at a bad spot.

I've seen 300whp from the spoolin log.
Mine has a 3" downpipe and closed loop dumptube. You have to pay extra for those, so yours would be a little different. I'm not sure if mine is A/C compatible yet, I bought it from somebody that went with a different manifold. They have a good list of upgrades too.

Yeah, it hooks over but im not sure if it hooks enough. Gotta order a traction bar and mock it up. 3" dp is to big for the G2.

i just installed my muetek lastnight and i had to do a little bit of customizing. the downpipe ran closer to my tranny and i had to move my raditor closer to the support frame. but hopefully today i can take it to a exhaust shop and they can make me a new downpipe, other than that it sit fine and looks pretty nice. but as of right now im running open dump off wastegate and open down pipe. so it sounds like a turbo v8 hahahah
