Which Tranny would you choose!? GSR

Okay I have spent several days reading forum after forum and have come to the conclusion that Idk what the hell im going to do. I have a '92 Integra GSR with a blown tranny. I never got to drive the car to it's real potential because I bought it with the tranny already clanking. So IDK what the ys1 really felt like when you opened it up. Anyways I wont to buy a replacement tranny asap!

Do I:
1) buy another GSR ys1
or
2) swap for a B16 (s1 or J1)

I think I know the differences in the transmissions in the fact that S1's and J1's are short geared and almost identical? and YS1 will be a good highway/everyday tranny...

But if I want a car that im going to run N/A until I can afford forced induction later on, but at the same time I want some pep and to be able to feel what my B17 is really capable of which should I buy?
This may be a dumb question but I cant come to a conclusion. So let me know your choice and a good reason why?

Thanks!!

I have the ys1 in my integra and I love the feel of it, idk how it feels matched with the gsr engine though. Have you checked to see if it can be rebuilt for cheaper then getting another tranny or is it just shot?

for any all motor set up i'd choose a b16 transmission, its going to have higher revs on the freeway, but if you want the faster acceleration go b16, i have a b16 lsd trans in my DA and i love it

MAKE'em SAY UUUHHhhhhh...
B16 are great for na.....but the fifth gear on the freeway is hell if you are not used to it. You can just swap out the fifth gear out for a LS fifth. Makes it alot nicer ..best of both worlds " IMO "

The YS1 gearing isn't that much longer than the b16 trans. At least it doesn't feel like it.
My DB2 isn't much lower on the tach at 80mph than my DB7(b18c1 with b16 trans w/LSD) was.

had a J1 with b18c1 swap. now have 92-93 gsr ys1 with 94+gsr 5th gear, wouldnt change it for the world. boosted making 400+whp

Thanks for the replies guys,
I would love to be able to rebuild the tranny but idk if the damage is repairable due to the bolt that blew a hole in the wall. But from what yall have said I think a YS1 with a 5th gear swap is the most likely is Im able to rebuild the YS1 or find another (which is whole other task on its own)

Here's a look at the damage
