NGK V-Power Performance Spark Plugs BKR7E # 6097 or the NGK V-Power Performance Spark Plugs ZFR5J-11 plugs? Stock # 5584. Which ones are two stages colder? Thanks for ANY valuable input. I need help!
Nevermind I just went with the NGK V-Power Performance Spark Plugs BKR7E # 6097's What do u guys think? They're 2 steps colder correct? Please someone clarify for me!!
depends on which engine, 6 is the factory heat range for b18c (vtec) motors, so a 7 would be 1 heat range colder, but usually more then enough for most mods, even turbo/supercharged, until you start getting into really really rediculously high boost levels would you have to bump up to an 8 or a 9.
also, you can tell if your spark plugs are the right heat range just by pulling them after running the car real hard and evaluating how they look...i dropped to a 6 on mine (non vtec) and pulled the plugs and got a perfect result.
if your too hot, they will be melted, if your too cold, they will carbon foul real fast
