which is better? Alpine type-r interiors or type-s?

i got two 12" L5 Kickers with stock interior speakers but time for the upgrade just dont know which is better.

I'd get pioneer's. Pioneer TS-G1643R to be exact. I have those, and they have some of the best high's you can get and they are stupid cheap.

If money isn't a factor check out focal, I'm running the 165kf's and they sound insane, even though they're discontinued there's a newer model.

Type R's are better speakers than Type S's

Yeah the Type R give you better bass the the Type S if you want bass go with the Type R they handle more.
I have the Type S and i like there nice blanced tone

damn, x2 kicker L5! must knock... I went from x2 12" rockford punch down to x1 12" JL w series. Now I went ported with x1 kicker L5 10" and it knocks!! mid/highs are MB quart component in the rear and pioneer 3way in the front. I would say just spend the few $$ extra for the alpine type r over the type s. But also look up a few other brands in terms of mid range speakers... O2, memphis audio, Ev. g/l with choice
