Which engine is better for turbo?

both will handle same amount of power however the gsr will get there easier due to larger cam profile and longer stroke aka bigger motor

abuse? like in more boost? more boost isnt always same as more power (first of all) and you schouldnt abuse your motor by boosting the hell out of it a GSR has more hp stock and bigger displacement wich is always a pro.

kind of off topic but my friend claims that LS' have perfect gear ratios for boosting... true? or not?

well depends on what your goals are but givin the fact that you will reach your revlimit faster with boost (and oc much higher hp outputs) its indeed more fun and easier to drive a longer gearbox (wich the LS has compared to the gsr or type R)

otherwise you would have to shift way to fast and prolly even be to slow at certain points.

conclusion: for daily driving its deff whole lot smoother and more fun to drive an LS gearbox
