When idling my 92 will dip to 300-400 rpm then back up

I recently was passed down a 92 gsr that has a problem when idling. When i idle, the rpm's will dip down to 400ish and the car begins to shake a little bit. Today it got so low that I thought i was going to stall in traffic. Has this happened to anyone else and or is this a known solution? I saw a similar thread but there was no sure answer.

clean the idle air control valve if that dont fix it try adjusting the fast idle air valve that one is guna be a bitch to get to tho. but in that fails go to junk yard and get like 2-3 idle air control valves and try them. happened with my 90 DA still does it but mine is idling at 2-2500 depending on how hot it is that day. i cleaned mine to get it that way before it would rise to 3 gran and drop to 850 then back up again.

Either the IACV (as mentioned) or you have a vacuum leak.

To test the latter- car running, spray carb cleaner around the intake manifold and brake booster. If it stumbles then check/replace the hose or gasket.

Looking for my next Teg..
check vacuum lines that connect to the MAP Sensor assembly for any cracks & clean out your IACV with a shot of carb cleaner.
