What should be the technical details (ET38 e.g.) of 17" wheels and tires to be used in an Integra DB1 so that it doesnt rub the fenders ?

I ate the bones
Depends in wheel width and how low the off-set is. The lower the off-set number, the larger the lip and how far it sticks out from the car. Anything lower than about a +30 off-set may require fender rolling.

I can help here.. you need to start with what your wheels currently are (width and offset). If you are looking to not change your wheel width, then you can base all offset off of that. If you change the width, your offset also will be affected.

Google "offset calculator" there's several out there and will let you know how much additional your wheels will "stick out" based on the different widths and offsets you are looking at. To be on the safe side you could always keep them conservatively in and then flush up with a spacer if you wish.

thank you Throwdown..

My tires are 215/40/17
Wheels are ET 35 offset and 7.5

The tires rub...

So I decided to hammer the inside of the fenders to prevent the rubbing. (is "rub" is the correct word ?)

I'll take photos to show, it'll be done tomorrow...

i would suggest being very careful when you do this, heat it up really good while you're hammering it.

Yeah heat them... be careful when hammering. If you can get a fender roller (lots of places rent them out with a deposit or you can find a place to have it done for you) that would be your best bet.

he's from turkey though, im not sure if they have shops that rent those out, but 215's arent that big for a 7.5" wheel
