whats wrong?

OK my car sometimes acts as if its not getting fuel for like 3 sec .I think it might be the fuel pump going out. But do fuel pumps malfunction or do they just go out all together.Also do you think it could be the fuel filter?

do you mean when you're driving and it suddenly stops accelerating then out of no where speeds up? like its choking on fuel.

like when i downshift to pass or am accelerated it bogs then gets power again.This doesn't happen all the time just sometimes.My question is does a fuel pump just all together stop working or does it malfunction then go out?

So when you give it throttle at a high rpm it bogs for a second? Or is it at a low rpm? When you down shift it will "bog," sort of. But fuel filter is a cheap fix. Also are you a Ls/Vtec set-up (looks at your name). If you are then their could be a problem resulting from that. But start with fuel filter

that's the same exact problem i had! when i changed my header and cat. im looking for answers also. so fuel filter is somthing ill look into tomorrow.
