Hey guys whatsup my names Adam I'm from California.
I just bought a 92 Integra Hatch for 1800, had 160k.
I don't really know much about cars but a friend suggested i join this hahah.
It seems like a nice car, not the best cosmetically but it runs fine. The guy I bought it from didn't really take good care of the car though. I was wondering if any one has a factory intake I could borrow/use/buy because I need to pass smog and the guy I bought it from has a Short air RAM and didnt have the stock intake.... any help or ideas where I could get one? :)

If you have a valid CARB EO sticker under your hood you shouldnt have a problem with the visual inspection. If that's what your worried about.

Why don't you have him smog it for you? In CA, it's not a legal sale unless the seller provides you with a valid smog certificate that was performed within the past 90 days. That or try Craigslist.

Thanks guys, Ill post Pictures up when I get the time.
And yes the seller had the smog certificate, but I guess every time theres a transfer of ownership of the car it needs to be smogged? Idk but I'm going down to the junkyard or going to borrow someones :)

well if the smog was done in the previous 90 days, you can still use it to transfer your name.

and Gen2 FTW :)

Like dopeness said, if the smog certificate provided is within 90 days, you can transfer ownership as many times as you can within those 90 days. The limiting factor to that would be having to own said-vehicle for a minimum of 30 days under your name before you can again sell/transfer its title to yet another individual.

Btw, welcome to the forum!

Make sure you're not just taking the certificate the seller gives you and assuming it's legit because they seem trustworthy. Double check on the state's site and run the VIN of the car to confirm that it has indeed passed smog in the past 90 days. I've had people do some scandalous things just to sell a car to someone.
