Ok this is the situation, last night i took my car to the local dragstrip ( i didnt race just spectate) on the way home i noticed my temp gauge went up but not far enough to overheat kind of the middle. I kept lookin at it all the way home , but got hungry and stoped at the drive through to get something to eat while there my temp went up quick and the car died and would not start when i did the the visual check on it i notice the oil looked watered down but not white chocolate i checked the radiator and notice that it was a wierd brownish dirt color so i checked under the oil cap and guess what......... white chocolate i knew then that the head was F@&# i let the car cool down a bit with some water and started it up with it runnin like S#&^%
got home parked.

Now heres the delima I was planning to fix up a crx i got for a project with another engine i was planning to buy but thats later on as i only saved up like 300 since this happened im debating should i buy another engine for my teg instead or rebuild the one i got and if i rebuild do i just go stock or modify it while im rebuilding (and the reason for the rebuild is that my teg was like 204,xxx miles on it, so i figure why not?)other wise i just do the head but since im taking it apart anyways long story short to rebuild or not to rebuild is the question.

And if i do rebuild i probably spare no expence cus i might just sell my crx to get what i need any suggestions on what i should put into it?

its really personal preference at this point. I would you rather take the time to rebuild and do the job correctly. Than just buying a possibly beat on engine.

There was no '96 Type R unless it's JDM, in which case good luck registering it.
