What tranny fluid / how much?

We're about to change the tranny fluid in my friends 1st gen. What kind does it take?
The manual states 5w-30 and NO that's not temporary because back in 1989 Honda didn't have a MTF.

I would think Penzoil Synchromesh would be ok? How much could it take?

Synchromesh, Torco, regular 5w30...all do the job. Its right around 2qts, I wanna say its 1.7 but I can't remember to be honest. I know my trans took more due to the LSD
