depends what u want and what u plan to do WITH the car

I'd personally say c1 would be ur best choice for overall

Don't do the b16 swap if you have the money C1 if your not looking to spend that much ls/vtec. I also heard the ls/vtec can put out better numbers then the c1 power wise.

a lsVTEC done right will smoke type-r's. but that's done right (BC valvetrain/toda/Skunk2 ex + Type-r Rod/pistons/rings AND a good tuner with a good program). but ur lookin @ an extra 1.8 g's +/- for these parts depending on where you get them & thats not including installation of the r/p/r into the block. gs-r is much more reliable and cost more than an average lsVTEC setup.

i'd fully build a gs-r motor in my opinion. I'm not sure if you're also on Honda-Tech, but my room mate builds lsvtec motors, names bambam on Honda-tech, he built the very popular thread, "How to Build a Reliable Ls/Vtec" and he'll hate me for sayin that.

search the honda-tech thread. b16 aint bad if you do it right. Problem is, most people swap motors and leave them stock and complain because it's not "fast"

no b16... b18 type r have high compression so to boost it u will have to do things to lower the compression... i have a type r and its in process of getting boosted... im doing lower compression pistons, hella thick headgasket and after market cam gears. that will lower the compression to about 10.5 to 1
