This was behind my catalytic converter, the new exhaust system from the junkyard came without a catalytic converter, so being the fact that for my 89 integra the proper catalytic converter is 130.00 dollars, i have a plan, im going to leave the catalytic converter off, im going to go for a place that if your car doesnt pass smog, they will give you a sticker for a year, well by the time that stickers up, i wont have to pass emissions anyway!

Is it a second catalytic converter?(Which would make no damn sense having two on there.)

Really not sure...but Saturn Vue's come with...get this...SEVEN cat converters on them. My neighbor's had all 7 go out at once. Costed over a grand to replace them.

with 88s and 89s not having egrs they ran a different kind of resonator to try and make up for the emissions but really is just a resonator. I just cut mine out when the cat came out

not sure why exactly they put and egr with no res on the 86 and 87 brown top but no egr with res on the 88 and 89 blacktop. I think because brown tops were vac adavance and black tops were electronic adanvance or something. Who knows though what Honda was thinking with some of the stuff they tried back then. Lol
