What the hell are Suspension Seperaters?

Okay, I got lowering springs for Christmas (2.5" front, 2.25" rear) and I told my cousin about them and he said I need to get Suspension Seperaters or Spring Seperaters or something like that becasue he said that if I dont it will damage my car. I think what he said is B.S. because I never herd anyone ever say anything about them, and plus my cousin doesn't rely know anything about cars. So can any of you guys either confirm or deny what he said that would help out alot. I appreciate it.

Never heard of suspension separaters. Maybe he's talking about bump stops? Tegs come with bump stops stock though.
