does anyone know what the plastic cap is for and what it does. the cap aboce the oil cap.

what is it for. mine came off, and i put it back on. does that cause any damage at all, im guessing thats what it is, it looks like a mushroom.

It's just a cap for the fuel pressure regulator... It serves no purpose as far as I know.. Besides protecting the screw.
Is that what you're talking about?
