Why not continue the trend and get either ITR or CTR cams? those put down some good numbers. also I hope that you are doing something to increase the Oil flow in your engine. LS/Vtec engines are know for blowing up from lack of oil or a thrown rod.

Some people put on an ITR oil pump to there blocks. The biggest problem is that the head doesnt get enough oil. Just make sure that a good shop does it for you and you trust them. When it does work it is a great time, but when it doesnt then there are some major headaches.

cams....

Go with some stage II Skunk 2 racing cams....can pick then up for about 800 bucks.....
If you really want some good shit go with TODA racing cams, but their stage II will cost you 1700+

Good hunting.

i dont think itr/ctr cams will be enough cam for the compression you will have. ctr pistons in a gsr is @12:1. you'll need at least stage 2 cams. you can even safely use stage 3's.

im running 11.7:1 and my mech. told me not to go below stage 2.

you would still be pushing 12.27:1 c/r with a gsr head. you will have to use octane booster every time you fill up. i recommend you go with itr pistons and a 2 layer headgasket. thats 11.5:1. alot safer.

go to c-speed.com and you can do somw swapping around to check your compression ratio.
