What is an average paint job cost

How much would an average paint job cost on a 1990 acura integra

no such thing, but a paintjob just to make the car look ok, maaco paintjob is 300 if you do prep work

The biggest problem with Maaco, is that they DON'T prep their work, or at least not very well. Basically they wipe it down with paint thinner and spray new paint on.

They will generally give you a cheap paint job for $300, but it won't be the best quality.
If you really want a good paint job, save up and spend some coin. Either that or do it yourself.

I was thinking about having them do my car, but I figured as long as I've got it prepped, it takes no time at all to spray it. (And I already have the equipment from painting other vehicles.)

yea i had m car completly sanded and they were gonna do it, but i decided to try and spray it my self, i was fun

My first paint job wasn't that great. I remember I just wasn't sure what to look for when sanding and such.
When doing body work on the hood I was all over it lol. Seriously at one point I had my nose pressed up against it looking for little imperfections lol.

It all depends what condition ur teg is in cause u dont wanna paint over rust or leave dents all over the teg (if it has rust or dents). PLEASE DONT TAKE UR TEG TO MACCO they SUCK. If u really like ur car and want to make it nice just save ur money and go to a nice place. Around here (Boston) shops charge around $1500 and up. SAY NO TO MACCO. SAVE UR $$ AND FIND A GOOD SHOP U WILL BE HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT.
