What engine to autox with?

Hi I never track/autox before, and I have a stock ls.
What engine+trans should I swap thats legal and good to drive with?
JDM ITR?
JDM SIR-G?

you don't need those JDM engines, you need torque and handling for auto cross.

pretty sure down low the B18B has more torque than the VTEC unit so instead of looking for a engine, you should be looking to upgrade your suspension and maybe bolt on a few things to your current motor that will improve response.

autox with anything that you have, not a big deal. People autoxing with horrible cars yet having a blast all the time.

If you want to be competitive in AutoX just get some good tires and a decent suspension set up. Otherwise you'll be placed in the modified class most likely once you do an engine swap and that will put you against others who may be highly modified.

B18b with a 4-2-1 header and if you have the 2 g's or 1,500 to spend on a new motor, get some cams and a tune.
