i have an auto and before you guys go sayin that i wanna manual because of my idea, save it. i dont wanna manual. but what i was thinkin is...im not too fond of the shifter console for automatic because of the PRNDblabla you know, it loks ugly. so what i was thinkin was if i put a manual shifter console. i think it would be a pretty unique mod, what do you guys think?? think it'll work??? is the boot not big enough to go all the way up and all the way down????

if what I think you're talking about is right, then it's been done before.

replacing the auto shift part of the console with a manual one, so it can look like it's 5 speed ?

are you talking about the shift knob or the WHOLE SHIFTER CONSOLE?

i'd jus get an aftermarket shift knob and get the shift boot. thats probably the simplest and cheapest way to make your automatic "look" like a 5spd. however, a better idea. why not look into the daytona type cars with their automatic shifters that doesn't use a clutch or the paddle shift?

but for me, i'd just leave the automatic as is. its an automatic... who are you trying to fool but yourself? i don't wanna be an asshole so i'll just leave it at that.

im not tryin to fool anyone i just thought it would look cleaner.

all you need to do is replace the part with a boot.

There was a guy that commented on finding a DA like that on g2ic.

I'm pretty sure they are the same size, that'd be dumb on Honda/Acura's part to make 2 separate center console pieces.

just get a boot and replace that piece with it.

Paddle shifters that work, are very expensive. Just take that plastic cover with the letters off and throw a boot on. Quick and easy. Also cheap.
